South Central Ventures welcomes Government of Serbia as the newest LP (Limited Partner) to join the Enterprise Innovation Fund (ENIF)
The Government of Serbia signed an Agreement to join the Enterprise Innovation Fund (ENIF) as a Limited Partner. Serbian Government joins ENIF in the subsequent closing, bringing the total fund size to more than EUR 41M available for investments in early stage technology companies in the Western Balkans.
The agreement was signed in Belgrade, 21st of June with a press conference held at the Science technology Park “Belgrade”. The welcoming speeches included Viktor Nedović, Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Minister of Economy Mr. Goran Knežević, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mr. Mladen Šarčević, Head of Operations – Section II, Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia Mr. Steffen Hudolin and Interim Managing Director of the Innovation Fund Mr. Ivan Rakonjac addressed the audience.
On behalf of the international financial institutions audience was greeted by Mr. Hubert Cottogni from EIF, Mr. Claudio Viezzoli from EBRD and Mr. Daniel Türkis from KfW. Among others Mr. Igor Jović from company Cityexpert adressed the audience and respected guest about his experience as user of ENIF funds and their cooperation with South Central Ventures.
In His addressing to the audience our Managing Partner Jan Kobler said:
