AMA (Ask Me Anything) session in Skopje

60 founders and tech enthusiasts came to the free AMA (Ask Me Anything) session that we organized on 20 January, Wednesday, from 1730-1900 in Skopje.

Tatjana Zabasu, South Central Ventures Managing Partner and Director of Skopje Office, was there to answer all questions regarding approaching our 40 million fund.

Most frequently asked questions were the following:

  • At what stage are the investments made?
South Central Ventures is dedicated primarily to early stage and growth investments. Within the fund’s ‘seed pocket’, 1.5 million EUR are allocated to investments of up to 100 000 EUR per company. The majority of the funds is allocated for early stage and growth investments ranging from 0.5 – 2 million EUR per company. These investments should fuel the international business expansion and growth of the most promising tech startups that can show traction and prove their potential to “make it big”.
  • What do VCs expect to see in a company they would consider investing in?
For the seed investments, we expect to see at least a minimum viable product (MVP). For the early to growth investments we expect the company to show some traction and progress in the relevant KPIs.
  • How can companies approach and how is the investment process organised?
Companies can approach our Skopje office and request a meeting or send their introduction email to [email protected] If the company profile fits in our investment focus, we will follow up with a meeting and further discuss the cooperation opportunities.
