The Womenpreneurs Balkan Bootcamp for 1st time female founders brought together established speakers and participants from 11 Balkan countries in a fully digital edition.
Female founders that have launched their startup in the previous 3-6 months were eligible to take part in the seven modules that covered different aspects needed for being a successful entrepreneur.
Eli Zhabevska (SCV Senior Associate) together with Igor Madzov (Investment Facilitator SwissEP, Co-founder of Startup Macedonia) and Barbara Fischer (Partner at Arena Ventures) participated as a mentor in the last module that was dedicated to pitch practice in front of international investors. The module was organized as a session where constructive feedback was given to 20 founders and their presentations.
»I believe that female founders are unreasonably underrepresented in the startup community in our region. Initiatives like Womenprenuers Bootcamp are changing that landscape by providing meaningful training and support to female founders and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate and add value. The ladies that we heard during the pitch session had very interesting ideas and more importantly demonstrated great passion and willingness to put those ideas into reality,« said SCV Senior Associate Eli Zhabevska.
